Neues aus dem Atelier

Gesundheitlich ein bisschen angeschlagen, bin ich erst heute wieder so richtig dazu gekommen, mich der vorweihnachtlichen Freude zu widmen, die aufkommt, wenn kleinere und größere Kreationen im Atelier entstehen. In diesem Jahr wollte ich gern endlich einmal die Keramik ausprobieren, die ich schon seit langer Zeit auf dem Zettel stehen hatte. Vorzubereiten war nichts, weil ich alles Notwendige noch im Schrank liegen hatte. Also fleißig kneten, auswalzen und in die richtige Form bringen. Über Nacht durfte alles trocknen, bevor es mit Farbe verziert wieder ein wenig Trockenzeit brauchte. Anschließend die Keramik mit Sandpapier bearbeiten, damit die Farbstrukturen zum Vorschein kommen, auf die es mir ankam. Und zum Schluss alles lackieren, damit es wasserfest wird. Herausgekommen ist dann dies:

Health a bit groggy, I really came back only today to dedicate myself to the pre-Christmas joy that arise when large and small creations are born in the studio. This year I wanted finally to try out the pottery, which I have been around for a long time on the list. No preparation was neccessary because I had all the things still in the closet. So diligently knead, roll out, and bring in the right shape. Everything was allowed to dry overnight before being decorated with paint needed a little drying time again. Then edit the ceramic with sand paper that the color structures are revealed, which matters to me. And varnish everything at the end, so it is waterproof. The result is this:

 

 

Und damit es in den nächsten Tagen weitergehen kann, sind noch ein paar Schälchen in der Warteschleife und die Baumanhänger trocknen auch brav vor sich hin.
