Lasst uns feiern!

Mal wieder steht ein Geburtstag an. Bis gestern wusste ich nichts davon. Und da ich ganz spontan zur Feier eingeladen wurde, musste ich mir also noch ein schnelles Geschenk einfallen lassen. Etwas kaufen wollte ich nicht, weil die selbstgefertigten Dinge von Herzen kommen und sie zu jenen gehört, die solche Kleinigkeiten noch zu schätzen wissen.

Die Zweige in der Vase sind ja nun schon fleißig aufgegangen, haben aber leider keine Blüten. Was liegt also näher, als wieder etwas Neues auszuprobieren und ein paar kleine Blütenblätter selbst zu basteln. (Anleitung folgt!) Sieht bezaubernd aus und ist schnell gemacht.

Das eigentliche Geschenk, eine kleine zarte Kette, war ebenso spannend in der Herstellung, wie in der Endgestaltung, denn wenn man Organza am Rand einschmilzt, geht das nicht immer nach Plan und es entstehen die unvorhersehbarsten Werke. Nichts desto trotz bin ich sehr zufrieden mit dem Ergebnis, so dass ich dies für mich auf jeden Fall nochmal wiederholen werde.

Once again a birthday. Until yesterday I didn´t know and ´cause I was spontaneously invited to celebrate, I had still to come up with a quick gift. I didn´t want something to buy because handcrafted things come from heart and she belongs to those who appreciate these little things yet.

The branches in the vase opened up their small leaves already, but unfortunately they have no flowers. What could be more natural than to try something new again and tinker with a few small petals themselves. (Instructions will follow!) It looks adorable and is easily done.

The real gift, a small delicate chain, was just as exciting in the making, as in the final configuration, because if you melt organza at the fringe, that does not always go as planned and there are the most unpredictable works. Nevertheless, I am very happy with the result, so I'll repeat this again for me anyway.
